Nauticus Marina wedding is your way to go if you’re looking for a waterfront outdoor Cape Cod wedding venue for your celebration. Located on North Bay in Osterville, MA, it’s a private rental dock space that provides convenient boat access to Nantucket and Vineyard sound.
Nauticus Marina’s grounds can be rented for an outdoor event, and there are not so many Cape Cod outdoor wedding venues that can give you such beautiful scenery. It worthily won prestigious accolades for its architecture from the AIA Project Award and Governor’s Design Award.
The custom-built lighthouse can be a beautiful background for Nauticus Marina wedding photos, and you can hold your wedding ceremony on the lighthouse’s steps. Inside the lighthouse, there are stairs from the ground to the balcony level, and be sure that all your guests would love to go upstairs to take photos.
The maximum amount of guests is 200 people (I hope that number will be allowed in 2021!), and your outdoor wedding reception most likely will be in the tent. The tent seats perfectly on Nauticus Marina’s grounds as you’re right on the water with the view of the lighthouse, harbor, and stunning seaside sunset.
As a local Cape Cod wedding photographer, I want to mention that there is no need to go anywhere for photos if you have your Nauticus Marina wedding. “First look” can be held on the dock or the lawn in front of the America3 – famous Cup Class yacht that won America’s Cup in 1992. You can also go to Crosby Yacht Yard across the street – there are a few stunning coastal spots with a New England vibe. Family and bridal party photos can be taken on the lighthouse steps; you can also bring a wedding party to the lighthouse’s top-level and take a shot from the ground. If you want pictures on the beach, the nearest place to go is Dowses Beach in Osterville. It can be crowded, though.
