Martha’s vineyard wedding
Martha’s Vineyard wedding
Hey guys! Today I want to share Makayla and Mason’s Martha’s Vineyard wedding photos I captured in October 2019 at beautiful Martha’s Vineyard wedding venue – Harbor View Hotel.
Marthas Vineyard is a beautiful New England island located just five miles off the of Cape Cod.
When settlers came, a Native American tribe Wampanoag inhabited the island. Still, the colonists pressed them very seriously – some moved to other inhabited areas, some killed in battles, some died of diseases imported from Europe. In the eighteenth century, the island’s population was already almost one hundred percent white.
The first settlers of the island were whalers, and for a long time, and this job remained the main one for the inhabitants. They didn’t give the island its name, however, as early as the seventeenth-century British traveler Bartholomew Gosnold named it after his youngest daughter Martha. Wild grapes grew everywhere on the island back then. Now at the beginning of the 21st century, there are almost nowhere grapes. But wild roses bloom twice during summer and wrap most of the houses and porches.
Martha’s Vineyard is one of the best choices for dream destination coastal wedding on East Cost. There are many wedding venues for any sophisticated client.
Makayla and Mason’s Martha’s Vineyard wedding ceremony was at St. Elizabeth’s Church located on Main St in Edgartown.
When the ceremony was over, Makayla and Mason and all their wedding party walked down streets of Edgartown to Harbor Light Lighthouse.
This is my favorite location for Martha’s Vineyard wedding photos.
We were lucky as the lighthouse was open for visitors, and we could get on the top.
Harbor View Hotel is a beautiful hotel on Martha’s Vineyard, providing exceptional service since 1891.
Here is what Makayla says why the planned to do their Martha’s Vineyard wedding:
“Mason and I decided to get married on Martha’s Vineyard because it was a very special spot for us throughout our 10-year relationship. My family owned a house out there, and Mason and I loved to go out there in the summer and go to the beach and spend time with family. We have many memories of us being there throughout high school, college, and post-college years. We would always see couples getting married on the island and would dream that one day that would be us. Mason knew that my favorite spot on the island was the Edgartown lighthouse, and he made the spot that much more special to us when he asked me to marry him right in front of the lighthouse.
