Commander’s mansion wedding
Angela and Ryan’s Commander’s mansion wedding
Angela and Ryan’s Commander’s mansion wedding took place in Watertown, Massachusets in September 2017. Commander’s mansion is a unique historical location, and nowadays it’s one of the most stunning Boston wedding venues.
Angela and Ryan met ten years ago in June of 2008, and shortly after, they found themselves swirling in a classic summer camp romance — a tale of the head lifeguard flirting with the camp secretary (and not being asked back the following year!). Hailing from the same hometown, nurturing their budding relationship proved geographically convenient, especially after realizing they attended universities that were twenty minutes away from each other in Western MA. Even from day one, Angela always felt that she had known Ryan forever. They continued to date for another eight years, going on adventures, collecting pets, and attending concerts together. In the summer of 2016, during their annual trip to Montreal for Osheaga Music Festival, Ryan proposed to Angela at sunset overlooking the city atop Mont Royal.

Bride’s words why they choose Commander’s mansion as their wedding venue: “We really wanted to get married somewhere with character lots of green, but we also wanted to get married close to Boston to make things easy on family and friends. The Commander’s Mansion proved to offer the perfect blend of historic charm, a tent for a large crowd, and beautiful grounds for a ceremony and photos. While the weather did not exactly cooperate, we were able to have our ceremony in the tent, cocktail hour inside the mansion, and photos out in the grape arbors and throughout the wings of the mansion. Alex did a fantastic job scouting the location ahead of time and had the perfect shots in mind. ”
I just want to add that I love this venue. There are so many opportunities for wedding photography. Especially I really like the interior of the mansion.
