SLS Brickell Miami wedding
SLS Brickell Miami wedding
There is a Yiddish saying which means “rain is good luck” and for Alexandra and Greggory Schapiro, their wedding day at the SLS Brickell Miami Wedding Venue truly received a blessing from the skies as the perfect prelude to a lifetime of rainbows. As their wedding planner Melissa Davis aptly expressed when she created the Schapiro wedding’s slogan: “When it Rains, It Shines,” and as this Miami wedding photographer will affirm, the bride and groom truly sparkled.
When guests entered the recently opened SLS Brickell wedding venue, it became apparent why Ali and Gregg chose to celebrate their special day there. Modern and sophisticated, it truly epitomized the energy of this downtown Miami couple while adding to the grandness of the occasion with details such as floating candles at the magical pool deck and a Chuppah draped in white orchids.
Indeed, orchids were the flower of choice for this wedding and as symbols of elegance and beauty, fit the theme perfectly. Black, white and silver hues set the scene for a Miami wedding photographer’s dream. A sharply dressed and handsome groom, an elegant and angelic bride and an ambiance that was made for creating fabulous memories.
In a very surprising move, the Miami night sky above the towering SLS Brickell Miami wedding venue brought an unexpected downpour of rain as the bridal party began walking down the aisle. As a Miami wedding photographer, you don’t get to experience too many rainy wedding days, but this one was particularly memorable. The three weather delays that followed added to the growing anticipation and when Alexandra finally made her way down the aisle, radiant in her Vera Wang dress and wearing a smile that could light up the cloudiest night, the guests were ecstatic. Cheered on by applause, Ali and Gregg enjoyed a perfect ceremony, and the good vibes continued into the celebrations that followed.
As the guests enjoyed the Spanish-inspired menu served in the George Ballroom of the SLS Brickell and exchanged first impressions of the ceremony, the energy was already extremely high, and everybody was ready to hit the dance floor. The fantastic Entourage Band immediately set the pace, and the party continued well into the night. At 2 am, it was time to call it a night and as the twinkle of candles subsided, and the guests said their goodbyes, Alexandra and Gregg were still glowing. This was the beginning of their first day as husband and wife, and all the clouds in the world couldn’t put a damper on it.
